Hello, I never saw a Luigi Borelli label this font and shape before, is this a older or newer model?

Looks completely normal to me. I do believe it’s older. I have some ties and shirts with a similar label.

I just picked up a Borrelli SC that I think is older as well. These are the labels. I'd appreciate any insight into the vintage as well.

Older Borrelli has better quality than new Borrelli, so I'm always looking to procure the older stuff, if the fit & cut are good. Wouldn't worry about the age too much if it doesn't look dated.

Yes, there's been a fair amount of discussion on the CM forum about how Borrelli has dropped in quality, think due to transfer or ownership/operations.

I was hoping someone might be able to place the vintage of the label I posted.

Has anyone done an actual qualitative breakdown of Borrelli then vs. now?

I hear this sentiment often and must admit Beyond a handful of shirts and ties, I don’t have that much Borrelli in my closet. One reason is that it’s not that available.

While acknowledging that hand sewing is not necessarily a very accurate marker of quality, it certainly is a marker of time spent on the garment. On Lev's jacket there is clear evidence of hand sewing -- notice the slight irregularity of the stiches. Harder to tell on Aquafortis' jacket.

There's quite a bit of hand stitching on mine - at least in the visible finishing. Buttonholes look to be hand-sewn - though I'm not a tailor.
