Read posts from almost a decade ago that Borrelli was sold and the tie quality declined. Wondering if anyone had a more contemporary update on their quality. See a few ties on their website that I like, although the shipping cost to the US is very steep.

The ones I’ve had are very nice. Some of the best ties I’ve sold, the fabric is exquisite. I’d put them far above a brand like Brioni for example.

Thanks! I’ve guessing you got them relatively recently over the last few years or so? Kind of sad to see a trend of declining quality in some brands, but glad to hear you like your Borrelli ties!

They were likely from the last year or two

Quality is all over the board regardless of age. At the low end they are similar to zegna basic lines. Brioni beats those by a wide margin. To the top end, I have 50oz twill 7 folds that are every bit as good as kiton and marinella.
