I had a meeting with a fellow SF'er the other day and I was early and so wandered into the men's clothing section of a department store. They were having their 'last call' sales with shoes at half price, and an extra 50% discount on a second pair. There were some brands that I didn't recognise like 'Varie', 'Peluso' and some more familar like Cheaneys made for this store. I spied some Borgioli which I'd heard reasonably good things of in the forum. So in ten minutes I picked up two pairs of shoes that fill in gaps in my shoe 'collection'.
A green (!) chelsea boot with a medallion on the cap.
A brown wholecut with chisel toe:
They run a little large - the boot is a half size smaller and feels fine. The sole has 'interamente fatte a mano' which is probably just adspeak though they do look fairly well made. But they look good and feel good. The photos are for 'j'; sorry but the quality of my mobile phone camera isn't great but hopefully you get the idea.
