Im looking for a nice plain black boot with a Longer round toe box. I have the John Varvatos Mercer Boots there nice but to me they are kind of stubby. To me they dont go well with slim jeans/pants. So can some one recommend a nice pair of Black Leather/Patent boots with a longer rounder toe box that wont kill the bank.

What size are you? I have a pair of Prada's that may work.

I would suggest Aldens or Butteros but both are close to $500 in price range. There is a thread in streetwear that is all about black boots.

Also you can size up 0.5 or 1 for a pair that you like, if you are going to wear thick socks and plan to lace them up all the way, your toes will be free and your heel won't be slipping around. That's certainly an option.

Yes I kno they are not boots but the front half is what I would like to get in a pair of boots if they even make anything like that.
