My girlfriend's birthday is fast approaching and I don't yet have a gift. I remember about a month ago she mentioned that she wanted a pair flat boots. I know that's not a lot to go on, but do you any of you have an recommendations? Maybe something your girlfriend owns. She didn't provide a lot of detail, so I'm going for darkish brown leather boots.

JCrew had some nice women's boots (they seem to have sold out most on their website, though). Check eBay.

It really depends on what sort of price range you are looking at.

Kind of perilous, actually, IMHO.

Though I did go with the Merrill Spire a few years back for Mrs. T and that proved to be a winner.

What's her shoe size? Below-knee or ankle? Price range?

If you don't want to be ingloriously dumped, you really only have one option:

Louboutin.

Black Pradas. They accentuate women's calves.

Lady C got some Jimmy Choo's for V-Day which seem to be a hit. Dunno if they make flats though.

I just got my girlfriend a pair of Frye Campus boots for v-day. She kept talking about them for the past few months so I went and got her a pair.
