I'm looking to purchase my first pair of boots to wear for rough rain/snow conditions in the colder months in NYC. I'm looking at Alden Rugged Indy boots or Red Wing Beckman boots. I'm also headed to a week long ski trip in Colorado this year. Will either of these or this style of boot work for après ski or should I plan to bring something warmer (north face boots, duck boots, etc)? Ideally would buy one pair that takes care of both purposes. Would appreciate thoughts on the boots mentioned or alternative options.
