Navy Scotchgrain from AS looks soooooo nice. Would you rate them similar to C&J scotchgrain? My navy LE Pembroke View attachment 1124237

No, the C&J leather is more supple,
but yeah I like these too. I was really disappointed I missed my size at the sale AFP had on the maroon/burgundy version.

Alright boot people, I need your advice. I've been looking around for my first pair of boots and wanted your opinion on whether or not to stick with a classic cap toe, a slightly more rugged Chromexcel/Dainite like the AE Higgins Mill, or the outdoor sole like the Magnanni Peyton. Looking for something I can wear through this slop in the northeast, but also in the office.

Do you all have weather-specific dress boots or do you not bother?

I got them from Ascot Shoes at an odd stock sale and don't really recall the price other than it was good enough that I grabbed them even though I was at first a bit unsure about that heavy lugged sole with a fairly dressy looking boot on top. Glad I did.

Yes the sole and upper work really well together.
