Not aware of the technicalities. But it's possible that the interior of the shoes are of similar volumes- which in turn would mean that even though one looks outwardly bigger, the inside proportions of both shoes are very similar, thereby leading them to fit similarly. In other words, the last around which the interiors are shaped might be of similar volume/dimensions.

Outwardly, they may be shaped and look very different, especially if they are of different styles- like a Chelsea and lace up boot in this case.

Thanks. That was my thinking too.

Love these boots, man! Is goat suede actually made of goat skin?
Thanks man and yeah on this model and a few others, Carlos Santos use goatskin suede. Its has a much shorter nap and a tighter grain, thinner than cow but tougher, so far i've been really impressed with it.

Edit: "You see Carlos Santos uses cow suede (gaucho) which is very soft and supple but also goat suede (camurça)." (https://www.misiuacademy.com/carlos-santos-9156-review/)

The first part of my boot rotation is now out and ready to go!-) From the front it's C&J Galway 2's, two pairs of AS Cambridge and my Enzo Bonafe suede boots. The ligher pair of AS's are now eight years old and they still look great.

Boot maintenace day. Very little required other than a quick wipe down and brushing over since, other than the Aldens, these boots haven't seen more than 6 hours of wear in their lifetime. The ridgeway soles needed a bit more work though, as I managed to get dirt and mud trapped in them. Normally I'd touch up the edges on Radnor, but I didn't bother to do it this morning.
