For your Kudus I'd use a conditioner sparingly if the leather feels too dry, e.g. beeswax based emulsion of natural oils. These are typically designed to moisturize waxy leathers and to maintain their original waxy appearance, natural color and water repellency. I suggest you not to use mink oil even if it sometimes recommended since it will considerably darken and soften the leather and is unreversible / hard to remove if applied.

Nice chukka boots, is that colour similar to the Maracca of Cheaney or the brown from Loake?

The colour is lighter than the Maracca from Cheaney. The colour shown in Cobbler Union's site (at least in my computer) is quite close to the real colour.
