Almansa is a rich town in the region of La Mancha which is in the middle of nowhere (Don Quixote's land). Best restaurant for me is Mesón el Pincelín. Gazpacho manchego is the most popular meal in the region. People do not care at all about menswear but good food is always a priority. La Mancha is the largest producer of grapes/wine within Spain. Hope you can enjoy your visits any time soon.I love Spain so much, for so many reasons, you have no idea how much I miss going there.
I even love paella these days because I finally had a proper one, at least I love the version served in Almansa that is very thin and crispy at the bottom. I don't remember the word for it. Their local one is usually done with snails, rabbit and chickpeas. In that tiny town they have 5-6 really good restaurants. I don't know if that's unusual, but in Sweden a town that size would have a run down pizza place and a döner kebab place and nothing else. Another reason to love Spain!
