Brief ode to recrafting..
these originally came on white Christy soles. Sent to Shoe Healer a few months back and came back on double jrs! Laces can be swapped out to make this a completely different vibe.
What have you guys done or want to do?

Generally speaking shell doesn’t tend to expand. You also run the risk of tearing the shell when applying tension.

Putting something on your shoe trees at a hot spot is not going to cause any damage to shell footwear.

It's also going to be pretty impossible to tear a lasted shell shoe, under any circumstances.

No! I thought they were hatch grain, too. Turns out Horween makes an "Natural Arlington Grain." It's incredible (and half the price of cordovan).
Nice! Hadn’t heard of that Horween grain, they look terrific!
