Hey boot guys, long time no see! Hope you are all well. Cross posting from our Canadian vintage shoes thread. Here is a pair of size 14 Marfarlane RCMP 1/4 Wellingtons I am getting ready to ship out. Made in Montreal in the 1950s, GYW, nailed leather stack heels with built in spur boxes. It is how we do, er, at least, did!

Gents,

I am thinking of an EG GMTO using a MTO field boot pattern based on Kentmere minus the straps. See the boot MTOed via Leffot in Black London Grain.
Thinking -
Burgundy London Grain ( open to ideas .. )
72 last
Storm Welt
Ridgeway Sole

@Stefan88 ran this by the good guys at EG and the price is expected to be 1030 GBP w/o VAT. Pretty cool I think .. We would need a total of 6 participants.

Cheers
N

N, I am very interested. A few questions:
1) Are you wedded to the 72 last idea? I’d prefer a 202;
2) You alluded to some flexibility on the upper material. What about dark oak antique or snuff suede, as pictured in the exemplars you posted?

Thank you.

202 wont really make it a rugged boot. unsure of how it would look
I am not keen on either DOAK or SS - already have them in Galway.
My second thought was Walnut CC ??

Agree to disagree (on the 202 last). It’s a perfect all-aroundwe.
