    Carmina, without hesitation.

Thanks. Regarding the quality for the money, aren't most of the issues with Meermin on their Classic line? These particular MTO boots are being made with their LM standards. Does that help in terms of quality for the money?

Unfortunately not, in my experience. Though, when Meermin get it right, I'd take them over the Carmina. They just get it wrong quite often

    Carmina. No contest.

All depends on your intended use really. When I look at the Mermin, I'm thinking that you're attracted the the sleekness - but if that's what your looking for, the norgewese welt plages it right between a more roughed look and the clean polished City boot. The Carmina is imo much cleaner in a relaxed/rouugh design direction here, with the grain leather etc.

    Carmina all the way

New Jumpers arrived a few weeks ago - GMTO with purple lining to be different because.. well.. why not? Love em. I also have the black smooth calf jumpers, but these have a thicker/wider sole on the same last - gives it an overall more casual look

Finally decided to get in on this after lurking for a while. I have a small (very limited space), but carefully selected collection.[IMG]

EG for the most part, and to some degree G&G and St Crispins are more my thing.

No problem, I have no doubt that EB makes a good shoe or boot, however when I think of the best example of the Chukka however I always think of St Crispins first and then G&G a close second.

In my opinion it's more than worth the wait to get the better examples (shoes or boots) and the right fit. Besides once you get them they can very well last you a very long time. The larger the rotation the longer they will probably last you.
