Terrific boots - congrats!
Gents, thanks a lot and yes this is Polo
a noter great job from Skoak
Thank you, would not be possible without great clients.
These somehow don't get much wear and I often think I should sell them. But each time I wear these AE walnut shell Daltons, I decide that I'm going to keep them. I've since graduated (man, that sounds really snotty) from Allen Edmonds but these will probably stay with me. Somewhat sentimental too, as they're the first shell I ever bought.
Mine have sat in a box for 2 years. Great looking boot just do mot seem to reach for them very often.
I hear ya, man. It happens. This is the way I feel about Alden now. I used to feel that was about AE when I went to Alden. It's a vicious cycle.
I'm not quite there with Aldens yet. I've still got quite a few but have sold off some. I still enjoy my Aldens. I went into a Viberg phase (and kind of still in it) but am now waiting on my Galways. I must be getting sick because I haven't had that hunger or desire to acquire footwear for a while. Haven't bought a real pair of boots (other than some Epaulet high trainers) for over six months! I think I'm becoming very selective now that boot rack is pretty much full.
In the two years I've been creeping this forum I've gone from:
- Wolverine 744s, Red Wings, Oak Street/Yuketen moc boots,
- to shell Aldens, Tricker's wingtip/longwing boots, C&J Islays,
- to Vibergs, shell Carminas, White's / Guidi horsehides,
- and now I'm finally midway between there and the EG Galway, Vass/Bonafe MTO, A1923/CCP baller boot holy grail'd tier.
You guys are horrible, horrible enablers.
nice boot, nice jeans. working it all levels, bootspell I have the AE Daltons in grey. Thought they'd be cool, but they've sat on the shelf for the last year.. I like the color so I'll probably keep them.
I've always been intrigued by the Italian baller boots but haven't yet gotten the courage to drop that much cash on a pair of them.
Thanks, rnguy, much appreciated. Yeah, I know --- I sold off three pairs of Daltons already, one in burgundy shell. This is my last one.
I Luv Walnut shell, it's too bad it tends to darken. But I still really like walnut shell.
Graduated, upgraded, or you have much higher expectations. Most days I wish I hadn't even started with Allen Edmonds as it almost seems like such a waste of time and money. But then again because I did I at least I have a greater sense and appreciation as to why and exactly what I am getting into now. So it all has not gone to waste.
2nd paragraph is spot on ddd.
