New arrival - Crockett & Jones Ross

* 'Chocolate Hurricane Hide' - or a very nice shade of golden brown chromexcel to the less poetic.
* Loden suede collar.
* Storm welt.
* Vibram Commando outsole
* 378 last

Should be more than up to the task of my woodland winter walks.

I’ve a waxy leather c and j and wasn’t sure what the regiment was to look after them. Exceedingly helpful email from them replied within a day and the gent said that the leather buyer said the leather in the Hurricane was some of the best he’d ever seen. That alone nearly made me pull the trigger. Lovely boots sir.

Thanks much. And I'd agree - this seems to have a bit more depth and luster than I generally expect from CXL.

The leather looks great! What care products do you use on them?
Very infrequently I put a thin coat of renovateur on them. I just clean (rinse, brush) them every time I wear them.

Seems to have worked out well! I tend to brush my zug boots after every wear, wipe down with damp cloth if necessary and occasional coat of wax polish in brown or black.

Might try renovateur next time. Use it a bit less these days
