I'd probably check out Lof and Tung's offerings. Assuming a Dainite sole is sufficient. I couldn't really consider a boot with a lugged sole dressy. Ridgeway sole could work.

They look a lot like a pair of 9111 Red Wings
Bingo, I reckon you're on the money there. I looked at a few 9111s on ebay and the tags/era of make seem extremely similar, apart from the misprint on mine of course. Thanks!

I remember seeing them offered from Gieves & Hawkes in 2011 but that was called "the return of" so they were apparently offered before that. I was never able to find a pair of the boots in my size although they did show up on ebay frequently. They also made a chelsea boot.

In 2015 Cheaney brought the boots and shoes back again under their own label. That's when I got them. I think they only offered them that one season but I don't think they were particularly limited.
Thanks for the response, I'm going to scourer the web and see if I can source a pair of these in my size. They are a cool style that speaks to me.

How do you feel about spending money on non-essential goods during the Covid-19 crisis?

  • I don't want to spend money at a time of economic uncertainty, even if I could afford it.

  • I feel compelled to spend to help small businesses that are struggling.

  • I reduced my budget for non-essential goods and I'm not spending at the moment.

  • Not much has changed for me and I'm still buying stuff I can't afford.
