    IDK I just took delivery of a pair of Asquith on the 888.

    There's been no indication that they are phasing out the 888, at least not so far.

    Ahh, thanks for that. Perhaps I misunderstood some internet chatter on this, so apologies for spreading possible misinformation (and/or panic). I like the 888 a bit better than the 890 in pictures, but won't be back in London to try either of them on to see how they might fit on my actual feet until next month. Anyway, long story short: those boots look fantastic!

    I have voiced my disdain for the 890 in several threads. It just is not EG to me the 888 is far superior aesthetically IMHO.

    Agree, and I think G&G does this particular look a lot better. I think the first few or at least one EG released was an Adelaide on this Last, the ST James on a G&G looks a whole lot better than EGs Adelaide on their Last..
