Get yourself some boot dust bags if you don't have any, and that will do the job.

    Hi scrolls

They are black, wore them for the first time yesterday very comfortable and at the price I paid I'm very happy with the quality

    Thanks

    Carl.

    Hey guys,

    How are these: http://www.paulsmith.co.uk/uk-en/shop/men-s-dark-brown-suede-falconer-chelsea-boots.html

Since this is my first dip into the Chelsea boots world, I don't want to go crazy and spend £300 plus, so I looked around and these PS looks really nice, I like their color and shape, I know it's not ultra high quality, but I think they would look and feel quite well.

What do you think? Really keen on getting thse

A worthy alternative, and I believe also higher in quality would be these Grensons:

    http://www.grenson.co.uk/en_gb/declan-5432

But the plus side on the PS ones is that they won't need re-soling anytime soon, whereas the welted sole will wear out sooner.

    Thoughts?

How do you figure the PS ones will last longer?

Sorry ignore that, I thought they had rubber soles, but they have leather soles.

I have looked at RMW, but honestly, I didn't like them too much. I suppose the thing I like the most about the PS is their shape, I like how they are more streamlined and a bit more pointy at the top.

I am definitely sure that the Grenson is of higher quality, but do the PS come close?

Those look like cemented soles to me, that suggests they're not made to last too long. On the other hand, the Grensons are the made in India line.

How about these? Cheaper than both the options you're looking at.

They look like a good choice. But, and I don't mean to troll or seem to sound annoying in any way, can you recommend a model that has a slightly more edged toe? I just like it better.

You are annoying, I've been trying to bite my tongue for the last week but I can't take it any longer.
Why don't you do us all a favor and buy a pair of [IMG]'ing boots already.

And while you're at it stop asking for advice if you're not going to listen.

Sounds like your (dubious taste) mind is already made up!

    ouch. :)

Those Paul Smiths aren't half bad, they seem similar to Carmina's Simpson last, which they use for one of their chelsea boots.

In terms of how they'll wear, non 'fashion brands' will likely look better with age and over many years, which is the real value in my mind.
