Makes me miss the snow...just a little bitSnowmageddon and due in court. Nice to have these Vass derbies on standby. Supreme snow traction from the heavy lugged Vibram outsole.
I'd consider Grant Stone. I have several pairs of their boots (and a few pairs of shoes...) and really love them.Alright boot people, I need your advice. I've been looking around for my first pair of boots and wanted your opinion on whether or not to stick with a classic cap toe, a slightly more rugged Chromexcel/Dainite like the AE Higgins Mill, or the outdoor sole like the Magnanni Peyton. Looking for something I can wear through this slop in the northeast, but also in the office.
Do you all have weather-specific dress boots or do you not bother?

Wish I could find a used pair to try first.I'd consider Grant Stone. I have several pairs of their boots (and a few pairs of shoes...) and really love them.
Size????Wish I could find a used pair to try first.
Those look fantastic - Congrats! Wear and enjoy! In November I shipped off my Loakes Doverdales to the mothership in Northhampton UK, as there was a split in the Dainite sole on one boot. I asked if they had to take the soles off to please replace them with leather if they could. Today I got the boots back with a new box, boot bags and leather soles with stacked leather heels!!!! i am pumped. The Loakes people really treated me right. I cant begin to say how pleased I am. I had heard really good things about their customer service, and I guess it is true.
