Are yours on dainite? I have a pair on double leather which I love, but I don’t wear them as much as I should because they are so so dark and kind of have a weird finish look to them. They were my first pair of CJ shell and I made the mistake of attacking them with a lot of VSC or renovateur (forget which) to try to get excess cream off them since they looked so dark. I think I just made them worse!

I need a horse whisperer to help restore them.

They are on dainite. I’ve always thought CJ is a little heavy handed on the polish and have done as you have once I received them but with no issues.
