There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

@hmlarsson - cheers bro. These have quickly become a favorite pair. And those Meccariello chukkas are just divine. Definitely need to try a pair of his shoes one of these days.

Still don't know who made these. Got them from Ralph Lauren a few years ago. Retailed at $400, I got them for about half that.

You would think so, since they have that aesthetic and the Vibram branded sole. But the inside of the shoe says made in China.

Either way, they are some damn good quality boots.

...sure after being in the shoe game for awhile I know my pair of Meermin jump boots don't measure up to my GG, EG, EB, Vass, C&J or even Carmina but being my initial foray into acquiring a pair of quality good year welted boots, they have a special place in my heart. [IMG]

And today I finally got a matched belt. My friend Jason Stocks-Young, leather worker extraordinaire, talked me through making this today. English bridle leather, beautiful stuff to work.

Quote:Im a car guy...vintage euro stuff.....50s-early 70s and those boots belong on you in a late 50s/60s Alfa or Ferrari.... wow....I repeat...wow.......stylish to the nth degree...........you are a MAC daddy. But what in the world do u wear w / them?..lol upon second thought....maybe in a Duesenberg J Murphy Torpedo!...as a ferrari or alfa is too understated!....but in a nice matching hue of course. //upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0d/1930_Duesenberg_J_Murphy_Disappearing_Top_Torpedo_Convertible_Coupe_-_fvl_%284609844035%29.jpg

Haha well said. That's why so many boots here are pictured while not in use. Half of these are too exotic that I bet they don't get more that two days a year use.

[IMG] Since you are keen to know about the info so I will fill you in. Color is vintage Cherry this color is offered by Alfred Sargent (Moore) & Gaziano & Girling (St James 2). It's very versatile color & goes just about any thing you can think of. Example would be shades of blues, greys, charcole, prince of wales pattern. I posted vintage Cherry st James 2 by gaziano & girling shoes above which is exact replica of the boot above (color wise) but in shoe form. And I am wearing it with Isaia steel blue color donegal pants, sozzi socks, G. Inglese white shirt, Sartoria Farmosa Navy Blazer & drake tie (they are not pictured) but use your imagination. I am not into 60 or 70 vintage cars, but I do rock vintage cherry shoes & other color with 6 series gran coup or Quattroporte. If for some reason you still like to know more I would say check out rock your socks, shoes & pant combo thread or other SF threads. And If you like more pictures check out my IG for more pictures link below.

I think wearing vintage cherry is a state of mind...it might turn heads, but that's not why they were worn, right? [IMG]
