Not only do I love these boots, but I was looking at them on the RM Williams website and Mr. Porter last night (without having seen this) and almost pulled the trigger. How would say the comfort is on these? I might get them as a travel pair but would need to be able to walk quite a lot on them. TIA.

I am shocked that people are talking about boots and haven't even considered Timberlands?

Thanks. Can't say I prefer it to CXL judging from those pics, though. I'll have to investigate whether Vass works with CXL - never seem to see it on their boots.

CXL can take on a pretty decent sheen:

I guess I never tried, but then again most of mine are more for casual wear anyway.

These JF boots are more along the lines of what I have in mind - though ideally I'd want a bal boot.

Those are quite nice. Looks like he may have finished them with something to darken them up?

I do a lot of daily walking now and the model is aptly named "comfort craftsman". Make sure you get the rubber sole though - the leather is fine but not as sneaker-like as the rubber insoles are. I also suggest ordering through Bootsonline or a similar reseller while you can, it will be cheaper than Mr Porter or the RMW website (if you can even get suede with a comfort sole which you couldn't last time I looked on those sites).

Looking to purchase a new winter boot. How is the quality of Heschung? From what little I can find, they appear to make their boots in either France or Hungary, with the ones from France being of better quality.

Hey guys - I just pick up a used pair of BedStu Boots. Not as nice as you all have but they are leather and need a good cleaning. I like the brand because they are very comfortable.
These have got to me much different kind of leather so how would you go about cleaning them? Would saddle soap completely destroy them? LOL

    Thanks[IMG]
