  • Epaulet x Styleforum Alpine Loden Collection

Loden wool, woven in Tirol for centuries, is known for its resistance to cold and wetness. Our project in collaboration with Epaulet introduces Alpine Loden, a modern 18oz fabric blend of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, woven in Italy. It's lighter, more durable, wind-resistant, and more comfortable than traditional Loden fabric. Partnering with Rochester Tailored Clothing, we offer custom garments like sportcoats, suits, and overcoats, made to your specifications. Learn more about the Loden collection here.

Everyone,

I'm intrigued by some rough-out boots. These made by George Cleverley (and everything I've read means they're really made by someone else for George Cleverley).

They're advertised being work with what I'd call mid-light fairly formal wool flannel (?) trousers.

I see this type of suede as casual - would you wear them like this?

These seems to be the CJ Coniston with a crazy mark up.

Rough out is very casual and I would pair it mainly with denim. If you want to pair it with flannel I would go with the Coniston in the classic scotch grain leather

Loake Burford 2. The previous owner had lug half soles installed, which make them perfect for the winter.

Mad Dog paracord laces for most of my boots.

C&J Coniston in dark brown grain bought from Bodiley's (thank you Sarah).

Some shoes are near design + execution perfection, i.e.: Edward Green Dover, Church's Consul, C&J Pembroke, Alden LWB among others or for car lovers BMW E-30. I put Coniston boots in this category.

Bodiley's service outstanding as usual.
