From the chukka thread:

Snuff suede chukkas are one of my favourite boots. Since I live in Peru is very expensive to return shoes so eventually I get over stocked.

First picture from left to right:

1st ALLEN EDMONDS
- KATMAI
- Last 511
- 360 Welt
- Commando (mini lug)
- The AE Katmai is a tad snug in the forefoot maybe due to the thick leather. I took them to the cobbler to be stretched an return fitting great.

2nd and 3rd SHIPTON & HENEAGE by Crocket & Jones
- RANGER
- Last 325 (I guess)
- 360 Welt
- Vibram Lite
- I purchased two pairs of SH&H (by C&J) Ranger that have seen a lot of action (one as back up that is in pristine conditions)

4th LOAKE
- KEMPTON
- Last 026
- 360 welt
- Dainite
- The Loake Kempton unfortunately does not fit me very well maybe is my high instep that forces the tongue to be not hidden by the flaps, I am considering placing a couple of stitches buy might be risky

5th COBBLER UNION
- CHUKKA
- Last 312
- 360 welt
- Dainite
- The CU are very comfortable, my latest purchase, maybe the neatest finishing.

How did you get away with having not 2 but 5 of the same style?! I am struggling to explain myself having two black boots. Any tips/excuses we can use why we need more than 2 pairs? I tried the 'this don't fit well, I'm returning these.. Oops missed the returns cut-off' - didn't work ?

I hope these helps:

1.- I tell myself every morning that I deserve all my shoes and look for that day's shoes with a big smile. By night I am sure that I don't deserve them, but who cares, I don't go to sleep with my shoes on.

2.- I tell myself that they are functional sculptures and that buying GYW shoes is buying art. Once I told that thing to my wife and she stared me in a quite uncomfortably way.

3.- Do not count how many shoes you have. My grandma used to say that counting how many jewels you own brings bad luck.

Cheers!
