I most certainly wasn’t! I was simply unaware that Grant Stone shipped from the US!
It probably serves two purposes: easier to save money on customs/duties to bring them over in large quantities and can get another set of eyes on them for QC as they go out

I’ll just drop this here for anyone that isn’t familiar with Grant Stone.

And their affiliate thread of SF.

A quick follow up to my slow migration from Dainite. I sent my really special 10 eyes C8 Viberg caps back to them and they did an amazing job. Was going to send them my chamois cap's but they are so backed up and I was willing to roll the dice with a pair that is really not a part of my regular rotation. Nobody seemed to be able to source ridgeway so I sent them to Aram for a similar-looking Vibram sole. Wasn't sure how much experience he had with stitchdown but he assured me it wouldn't be a problem. He is a man of his word. Here are some pic's.......

They look similar enough. Have you had a chance to test out feel and grip?

Just a hand test and they feel pretty similar. The vibrams feel a hair softer and will likely require little to no break-in. But honestly, not much difference at all and such a dramatic difference from dainite. I could live with either one.

Vibram studded are softer than Dainite studded too, so that actually makes a lot of sense. Bet it's the same rubber compound

After almost 40 years stored in a closet at my mother's house, I found my old “Durango” boots that I used during weekends. Even though they are in very good shape, I don't know how much I would use them now: not my style any more, although old memories came to my head.

Man, I think be lucky if my mother kept
My shoes from yesterday! Nice to have the backstory if nothing else.

Hi all,
Does anybody know of any company making chukka boots using JF&J Baker Russian calf? Hangar Project have some in stock but not in my size. Regards, Patrick
