Boots, Boots, A New Year of Boots
Here are three threads devoted to boot brands! Let’s all read about boots!
Viberg
I don’t have a problem with telling you that Viberg makes my favorite boots – and how I wish I was more than a figment of Fok’s imagination, a dream come to digital life, and actually had appendages I could clad in hand-made, ruggedly designed and absolutely killer Viberg boots. Combining the “styling” of “fashion” boots with the quality of true workwear, goddamn Viberg is killer.
White’s
White’s is the American counterpart to Viberg: a credible brand, although one with a little less savvy production and marketing team and much more work credibility. What distinguishes White’s, though, is that they are willing to customize, and offer a variety of exotic leathers, and let you get as specific as choosing what kind of lining is used for the toe-area to make sure you have the perfect silhouette. The quality is great, though, even if the finish can still be a little rough for government work.
Oak Street
And that brings us to Oak Street. Oak Street is a relative newcomer to the streetwear boot scene (considering the fact that White’s and Vibergs and literally decades old family brands), and their boots are definitely on trend. While there’s been some… trouble in the brand’s thread as of late, they still present a very popular, very great option.
