When fitting a boot like the Alden Indy boot, if you are between sizes is it best to go with the narrower one in the hopes and expectation that it will stretch, or go wider and have a little extra room. Initially the wider feels more comfortable from the start, but it also feels a touch sloppy in the forefoot (E width). The other (D width) feels just a hair snug in the forefoot, but certainly wearable for an extended period of time without any real discomfort.
I'm sort of thinking that the narrower one will stretch a bit, but the wider one will always be a little wide. Does that make sense?
