My advice would be to nail down your fit in their house style before altering the shoulders.

I'm leaning towards that.

I received a picture of a jacket with softer shoulders that they made. Thoughts?

I also ordered some tweed swatches, I picked out my favourites and snapped a picture. It should be noted that the brown herringbone has flecks of green in it.

Those indeed are "softer shoulders" then their "House Style", as shown in their WebSte ,
but they're hardly natural shoulders al la Ivy League or Neapolitan style. If you like them, great.

BTW, the third tweed from the left is a keeper. I have a jacket from Chipp( Winston Tailors)
that no longer fits in a similar fabric

The height of the armhole is about 9" at it's biggest by my approximation. It's a very structured garment with strong shoulders and the waist suppression has different options. Their garments come quite fitted already, but you have the option to have them take the waist in as much as you want really, or let it out if need be. I would usually have their Extra Fitted jacket and have it taken in yet another inch, but I always wear a sweater with my Tweed Jacket so I only had it the regular Extra Fitted. The sleeve head is quite full but tapers off quite nicely, and for me the sleeve pitch is a little bit off, otherwise the fit is excellent. Plus they're great people to do business with. They won't give your order information to the tailors until every detail is sorted out and all the peculiarities are as you want them, and they try their best to get you exactly what you want. Great garments at an excellent price. Definitely worth a look.

Hi there, would they honor your own measurements for armhole circumference, the height of the button stance, or would they just simply ignore them? Do they charge extra for full canvass? Thanks a bunch!
