i am an avid reader, but have a hard time finding the time to sit down and just unwind in a book now-a-days.

i started a new job, and training for an iron man, and then my lady and my dog and family take up the rest.

I just started doing books on tape, luckily there are times at my job that i can just hook up the tapes and work and listen, as well as running and biking.

I know some ppl frown upon this, but its really stream lined my book per week.

thoughts?

mind you i always have a few books that i am reading on paper as well.

similar situation. Basically I get about an hour a day of commute time plus a morning jog in which I would otherwise just be listening to songs I have heard a thousand times before. I have a bunch of books queued up on my shelf and on my Kindle to be read as well. Decided that I should audio-book that time away, and that those books should focus on some kind of personal/professional betterment (rather than just listening to some C grade actor read me John Grisham novels). I also didn't want to have someone else dictate to me books that I would read for pleasure (working on Heart of Darkness at the moment), so thought it would be a good way to get the material without really squandering 'pleasure reading' time. I did a Short History of Nearly Everything (recommended in the other thread, although I hadn't seen it there...) and it was very good. I did an abridged version of the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People after that, and decided that I liked it, so am about 10 hours in to the 13 hour full version. Not sure what comes next. A friend speaks very highly of Getting Things Done, so that's a possibility.
