..most anticipated or most enjoyed. For me:

Non-fiction: Can't wait for John Richardson's latest biographical A Life of Picasso instalment. Lavish, learned, and undoubtedly revealing.

Fiction: Against The Day, the latest Pynchon has had good reviews and should absorb those long Christmas days of recuperation.

You mean other than The Suit, of course.
The Echo Maker by Richard Powers was excellent. But I'm a fan of almost all of his novels, discount my recommendation accordingly.
I also am looking forward to the new Pynchon.
In Persuasion Nation, by George Saunders, was excellent, but perhaps less powerful than his earlier collections because his unique voice no longer seems no "new".
I've owned Absurdistan for a little while but haven't gotten to it yet. I'm looking forward to it.

The Road - Cormac McCarthy

I also really liked Scott Smith's The Ruins. It's horror pulp, but it's pretty well executed.

I don't read much non-fiction anymore. I should, but I don't.
