This is the perfect madras imo, thin, lightweight and with this lovely looking irregularities in the fabric and the color is just perfect - I'm slightly miffed that this one doesn't fit anymore!
The shirt has been worn but there aren't any flaws, rips or stains but sooner or later some buttons needs to be resewn also does the fabric look a bit fuzzy but that's pretty common with madras.
Shirt has always been cold washed and hung to dry.
