Thanks for the replies! I didn't realize a photo would be helpful or else I would have posted one to start, but here's a photo now. The leather on these is quite strong and thick. I'm not sure if that's the nature of the shoes, or if they've just been sitting unworn for a while and could use a little conditioner even regardless of being a tad too small. They came with custom trees. I suppose I could condition them, put in normal trees, and just start wearing them and hope for the best. Does that seem reasonable?

those look beautiful. My both pairs that i bought in person were extremely tough and hard to break in. I wore them a while for a couple of hours every day and had them stretched professionally and they are soo comfortable now. I could wear them all day. Those look like they fit well just need a good break in period
