Went to a tropical workshop with this guy http://www.wigertsbonsai.com/ today
my malpigghia we prepared to become a cascade, got some help with other stuff. My Shefflera will be turned into a shohin eventually
There is something truly majestical about a Bonsai. My grandparents had a 8ft bonsai in their japanese themed back yard. It went along with the rock garden and koi pond. I will always admire it and be thankful that it will maintain in my families control.
After WORK I am going to one of the botanical gardens here, it has about 100 trees. STAY TUNED.
This is probably one of the most well known trees in Europe.
Rocky mountain juniper by Mr. Walter Pall.
I have no idea how he managed to get it in to Europe...

Well all I know is, it is the most beautiful Bonsai I have ever seen on the internet.

About 20 pics added, a few choice ones:
"Appalachian Cove" can give the full breakdown of plants if you want. Note the unusual pot. They wood has a special history. Unfortunately I've forgotten it. When they re-pot it it takes three men to "very very carefully do it" after many pictures.
HUGE jade tree. these were all big FWIW.
Atlantic White Cedar "The Ogre".This was the tree on the bonsai festival's shirt.
"Mount Mitchell" with 'Jeans Dilly' White Spruce, hybrid azalea, Cocchineus woody thyme, 'King Edward' Wooly Yarrow, Minutissima Loosestrife.
I have a TON from the festival. Been such a PITA uploading these tonight so I will get to them later.
Wow. Might have found a new hobby. Will look into it in more detail tomorrow.
Went to a nursery outside of atlana it was a good trip. Picked up a couple trees and I jus planted this mame. Cork for scale. When planting I forgot to pay attention to the pot design. Didn't align "the front" with the coolest part. This is temporary.
Close to 1000 jumipers. I walked to this part and said I'm overwhelmed didn't even bother looking at them individually.
