I was at the Upper West Side branch of Filene's this afternoon, and I found a pair of black captoe bluchers from Bonora.  Apparently, the shoes were part of the shipment from Louis Boston.  Originally priced at $625, I picked them up for $250.  I'm kind a Philistine in these matters, so I actually had no idea what I was getting.  It's more than I've ever paid for a pair of shoes, but based on the markdown and the source, I figured it would be worth it.  Plus, even I could see the high quality of the leather and the two-tone veneered soles.

Unfortunately, that was the only pair of Bonora's I saw.  I'm a 7 1/2, and it never happens that the only one left is in my size.  Still, it may be worth checking out the other FB's for similar deals.

Nice pickup. I really like the Bonora's I've seen in the past, but finding them in my size, let alone at a decent discount, is tough.
