Bonobos Suit Fit Check

Please help me decide which fit is best.

Details: I am 6'1", ~160 lbs. Long arms (35"). I have tried on many different suits including JCrew, SS, and Bonobos. I find Bonobos to be the slimmest and best fit for me off the rack.

I am decided between 38R, 38L, and 40R.

The pants in this photo are 31 tailored fit, unhemmed.

Were I to choose the 40R, is have the waist taken in a bit. Were I to choose the 38R, I'd lengthen the sleeves.

Both 38s look too narrow at the shoulders.

The 40 with the waist trimmed will look good imo

Thanks. Are the pants too slim? I like trimmer fitting pants, but am curious if this is too non-traditional.

40R. Pants appear to be bunching above the knees...a little to snug perhaps?
