Bodileys of Northampton now has its own in-house line of shoes. It isn't clear who makes them. I would guess AS. It certainly isn't CJ! They haven't even got time to make their own shoes. I am not sure about the pricing. I haven't done a thorough study but they look to be priced similarly to CJ. http://www.shoesnorthampton.co.uk/bodileysshoes.htm

You must be right. Those do look like Cheney last numbers. But their in-house line is more expensive than Cheney. Compare the Bodiley's Aldgate and the Cheney Lime.

Could be made to higher standards/better materials.

I'm reviving this thread because I'm curious who makes these shoes and what last are they on.

I can't tell if you're serious or not.

Has it come to this?

I have to respond to my own posting to get attention to a shoe question?

Where are all the shoe fetishists when you need them?

Is apropos dead?

Your question was answered in the previous posts though - they're made by Cheaney.

Greetings from a wet Northampton,

I know this an old thread but I thought I'd jump in for the official answer! Yes, our own Bodiley's shoes are made by Cheaney, but we specify their highest grade of leather, hence the difference in price.

I'm helping Sarah out with Social Media for Bodileys. We'll be posting photos, news and lots of other hijinks on Facebook, if you're that way inclined!

Regards,

Jack

Hi Francisco,

Good point! No, the driving shoes are made for us by Enzo Verdicchio in Italy.

Thanks,

Jack

I have a pair of the suede Glaston boots and am very pleased with them, especially at that price point.

Will probably end up grabbing the Prestons at some point/

That's great to hear TRINI. We think they are a nice alternative to the more expensive brands, without compromising on quality.

Thank you!
