I hate seeing the show take a 180. Nucky is turning into a spineless bitch. It is not true at all to his character. I get that he is wearing from years of watching over his shoulder. I just do not think his transformation would be so drastic. His girl was killed in Cuba. Lucky and Meyer are openly mocking him and disrespecting him and he just lets them get away with it. The exchange for Bugsy was completely botched. This is not at all the ending I was looking for.

What is he supposed to do? He has no money and even lost two men in the exchange. His empire is done.

Where did his money go? He had a grand in his pocket. Not bad for 1930's. He is still running Atlantic City. His reign may be ending but he is still in charge.

I think the real Enoch Thompson ended up in jail for a bit but had cash stashed away, I would presume that's how the show ends.

That caught me by surprise. For the past 2 weeks my g/f has been saying, "That little boy looks like ________"

I still don't know how _______ found him after all that time.

The show diverged a little bit from history with the real Nucky Thompson at the end.

would have been anti-climatic if they didn't though.

I think they did a better job with the ending then the sopranos did with tony...not much ambiguity.

Who thinks Nucky had the opportunity to save himself when he met with Gillian?

Have to admit, I did not see that coming. It was a fitting end for him.

BE was a consistently solid show. Going to miss it.

The show had a lot of great pieces (ie. characters), but in the end I can't say I'll miss it much. I was watching some clips on youtube, and I loved that Gyp Rosetti tantrum scene at Nucky's NYE party. I feel like I should watch season 1 and or 2 again to familiarize myself with Jimmy Darmody and the commodore

That's what I thought - the moment he gave her to the Commodore, he sold his soul.

And that's what killed him at the end. Awesome story overall. Going to miss it.

Also, Nucky's death was depicted the same as Jimmy's. Both shot in the cheek, both dying with their defining moments (diving for gold, the trenches) replaying. Wow. I always found the Darmody family story so tragic.

It would have been amazing if they took it all the way to the 80's and 90's. The material is so rich and with their great casting, acting and all it would have been a home run.

He says he's Tommy Darmody right before he shoots Nucky. However he found out about what Nucky did to his family...

I'm sure he ran away from the family he was left with and came back to find his grandmother in a mental hospital. Asked her what happened and she explained. She gave Nucky one last shot to redeem himself when he visited and he failed.

Tommy went back and she told him

Unless I missed something when the nurse mentioned visitors. I need to watch the finale again.

^ I looked into it after I posted and caught it. I must've been distracted during that last scene.

So was that It for the show? If so, very disappointing end.
