While that is true. I think it is supposed to give you some insight into his greater character. He isn't as good at keeping what is personal separate as he would like. I would like to be first to respond to the first episode of Season 2. Quote of the Season was tonight with Jimmy's mom admitting to "kissing his winky" when she changed his diaper. Biggest WTF moment I have seen in a long time. I am still laughing about it.
