BRAND NEW IN BOX VISVIM ASHIDA FLIP-FLOPS

DESCRIPTION

Having gone back to its roots for the SS 2012 Collection, visvim continues to pay homage to its Japanese heritage with the Geta(Ashida and Koashida), which is the name of a traditional Japanese sandal. No modern mock-ups here, so design-wise, it’s as legit as it gets.
Geta are a form of traditional Japanese footwear that resemble both clogs and flip-flops. They are a kind of sandal with an elevated wooden base held onto the foot with a fabric thong to keep the foot well above the ground. They are worn with traditional Japanese clothing such as kimono or yukata, but (in Japan) also with Western clothing during the summer months.
