1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Here we go again! I have a brand new in box Gravati Antiqued Wholecut. They are a 10.5D. They are beautiful. I think they may be just a half size to big since I have such a narrow heel. They were $440 new. I will sell for $250 plus $15 shipping.

    ow, those are awesome bluchers.
when the leather looks like it is sweating, that is a sign of some good decadent leather.

Not to belabor the point, but I didn't realize Gravati made shoes that looked this good.

The shoes are probably nervous that they're on Styleforum.

Great looking shoes. Definitely worth a bump.

Can someone explain to me what's going on with the sole? It looks as if these are Blake stitched, then the channel is closed with some kind of compound to protect the stitching?

Not to belabor the point, but I didn't realize Gravati made shoes that looked this good.

How Gravati shoes look depends to a great extent on how good the retailer is in specifying them. They don't maintain stock in anything -- they just make up what retailers order. If the retailer chooses poorly, he can end up with a bunch of ugly shoes. If he chooses well, you can get shoes like these.

BTW, I'm pretty sure that the leather used on these is Radica 033, which is very similar to what JL Paris calls Museum calf.

Can someone explain to me what's going on with the sole? It looks as if these are Blake stitched, then the channel is closed with some kind of compound to protect the stitching?

The shoes might be Blake or they might be Bologna. Gravati uses both construction methods, along with Blake/Rapid and Goodyear. The soles are channeled just like on most good shoes, only the channel flap is cut away around the waist. They will also completely close the channel if the retailer requests it.

JJ, if you haven't already packed these up for shipping, could you post the interior markings? They will look something like this: 014391 10 M 683, comprising the style number, the size, and the last number, respectively.

Holy shit, those shoes look really nice. If those were a size smaller, I would've had to beat the person that just bought them from you. Physically.
