Blundstones in cold weather?

Anybody have experience with Blunnies in cold weather? How good are they on ice, and -20 C temps? I need a boot that's somewhat stylish, relatively affordable (so I won't loose sleep over salt erosion of the leather), grippy on ice, water resistant. I know they aren't insulted, so I'll likely be pairing them up with a thick wool sock (is this sufficient?). I'm in Canada, so no Zappos, et al. links please - they make me envious.

I'm leaning towards the brown "dress" chisel toe #059.

hey, i don't have your model, i've got the blundstone 500's with the non-skid dual density PU soles. the boots aren't warm, but with wool socks, they are fine. i've read that someone had a problem with ice freezing on the sole, but i don't see how that can be avoided with any boot------and i've never encountered this problem. i wear my blunnies on hikes in the wilderness in the snow and ice--------they do me good! Thanks DDML.

But is non-skid different from non-slip? I would think that non-skid means that it won't leave those black rubber skid marks on hard floors? I've never had boots that were truly non-slip on ice, but some were considerably worse than others.
