Blundstone closing Aussie/NZ production

Blundstone are pretty awful anyway. They already looked as though they were mass produced in China etc to start with.

RIP and good riddance to them.

I did take comfort in this however:

The difference is that RMW has stuck to age old artisanal methods of making a boot. They are one of the few RTW makers in the world who still make a screwed leather soled boot, so old fashioned is their bootmaking technique.

I think it is a shame since boots are iconic in Australia. We make 'em tough like the outback! I am a fan of Rossi's for work boots and safety boots. I have found that Rossi's are more comfortable and use better leather/soles. Rossi's are Made in Australia (Rossiters Pty Ltd) - a beaut family owned company in Adelaide, South Australia.
