Blundstone closing Aussie/NZ production

RIP for domestically produced (Australia / New Zealand) Blundstones.

They've announced closure of plants and will move production to India and Thailand.

Blundstone are pretty awful anyway. They already looked as though they were mass produced in China etc to start with.

RIP and good riddance to them.

I did take comfort in this however:

The difference is that RMW has stuck to age old artisanal methods of making a boot. They are one of the few RTW makers in the world who still make a screwed leather soled boot, so old fashioned is their bootmaking technique.

I think it is a shame since boots are iconic in Australia. We make 'em tough like the outback! I am a fan of Rossi's for work boots and safety boots.
