Looks like I'm going to be in the market for a mattress.

I was looking at Shifman sets, which seem to be highly rated. Bloomingdales is one of the main sellers of these, and I noticed that on their website they have several for sale at huge markdowns from "regular" price (i.e., a queen set for $1322 vs the regular price of $4408).

Does anyone have a sense of whether this is truly a one-time sale, or are these markdowns pretty common at Bloomie's on the Shifman sets that are made exclusively for Bloomingdales?

I'm not due to move for another month or so, so just didn't know if I really have to pull the trigger now and arrange for delayed delivery or if I can wait till I get back to the US and can do some proper testing in a month's time.

While I'm on the topic, any good/bad experiences with Shifman mattresses?
