Apparently a fan of their resoling. That's incredible that he can survive on just two pair of shoes, especially in New York, where one does so much more walking than average!

I've never had a pair re-worked by AE... one day. Luckily, my shoes have never deteriorated to that point. However, I also have many more than just two pairs to rotate.

I believe that Crassus had only two pairs of sandals during the First Triumvirate, so there is some precedence for Bloomberg.

There was a story on the paper (this was a few years ago) about how his security detail takes him in his SUV to 59th and then he takes the 4/5 from there rather than walking from his house to 77th and Lex.
