I am considering purchasing this jacket to wear more casually, but I can't decide if this is an orphaned suit jacket or an actual blazer? Thanks.

You could certainly wear it as a sport coat.

If it has working cuffs you should think twice.
It does have working cuffs. I know that can be an issue as far as any alterations that may be required. These sleeves are within a 0.25" of what I would need, so I think I should be ok as far as that goes. Is that what your concern would be?

Looking at the photo again, one odd thing to me is the sleeve. The pattern does not align with the end of the sleeve and at the sleeve seam.

Exactly. They are pain to get altered any more than that.

I recognize the Ebayer though and he is good to deal with. I bought an Oxxford sport coat and it was in excellent condition for a good price. I would recommend him.

A close-up of the cloth would help. Not sure if it's s course weave or not.
