I am asking for opinions Is the length of this jacket acceptable as a sporting, informal jacket?
Or should I return it.
I apologize for the background and the pants :)

I don’t think the jacket is too short (for a modern casual one), but the fit just doesn’t look right. The quarters open way too much.

The sleeves look a bit short, but that may be OK if you like to show some cuff. It’s hard to tell when you’re not wearing a shirt.

(The pants and shoes look pretty good with a sports jacket of this color, by the way.)

As a casual jacket it's fine, but don't button it. That way the quarters won't look too open.

Rule of thumb is that when your arms are hanging by your sides, if you slightly curl your fingers, the bottom of the jacket should be that length. So too short. But there are designers like Thom Browne (Google him and look at images) who purposefully like jackets and pants short. But I don't think that's the look you're trying to achieve. Return it.

Thank you very much for the answers. So it looks like the jacket should be about 1 inch longer.
By the way, how to change the match in order to avoid the effect of too open quarters?

This is due in part to the buttoning point being very high. Ideally it should be located at or just above your natural waist, which would alleviate this effect.

It looks like Pee Wee Hermans shrunken suit. Return it and size up.

Too short. Too small. Too tight.

I agree with the above poster. Plus, you are wearing low rise jeans which worsens the balance of the outfit.
