No, I'm not going to rant and ***** like the other thread and actually talk about fashion. I watched Julian Red's website, http://julianred.com, and for whatever reason, the white dot on the guy's shoes appeal to me.

Now, instead of buying a pair of chucks that I find uncomfortable and putting a white dot on it, is there an alternative that's high quality(leather at least)? It looks like Adbuster has what I want, but for $78, 1-3 week wait, and made of hemp, that doesn't seem very fun. Also, I don't know how the quality of hemp can match up to leather or canvas so I don't want to buy it just to be dissapointed.

They look like pretty cool shoes to me. Dunno if their worth the whole 70 bucks but definatly a nice touch with the white dot.

I don't think there's a problem with using hemp for shoes. I have a pair of hemp Nike Dunks that were released a few years ago and they're pretty durable and comfortable. the only problem with them is that they soak in water instead of repelling it, but this might be because they're woven hemp. I don't think it can match the quality of leather, but it seems about equal to canvas to me.

Do you know anything about hemp? It's going to be a hell of a lot tougher than cotton.

As for Blackspot, the v2 looks horrendous to me, but I'd be all over the v1 if only they made a hi version. A few colors would be nice, of course.

When I was in my late teens, the expression "Have you been smoking your socks?" was a common way of insinuating madness. Truth is the daughter of time, I suppose.

They'd be fine if you sprayed them with camp dry or whatever.
