So have no issues with nearly any other color of tie, especially solids.
I seem to have in my possession 5 ties that are either solid black, or a pattern on a background of black. I cant seem to put them in to rotation as I have no idea what to wear them with.
Any one willing to poast some pics of shirt/jacket/black ties?
Also, can I do brown shoes with a black tie?

There was a Don Draper one I remember from the last season of Mad Men. He had on a beige jacket, white shirt, darker brown pants (I think or they might have been navy) and a solid black tie. I recall it looking very sharp.

I love black ties. Look great over both white shirts and blue shirts, solid or patterned. Blue shirt + black tie + tan suit = classic combo. Same with white shirt + gray suit + black tie. Then there's blue gingham + black knit ... But you get the drift.

Thanks Gents.
I dont normally poast questions like this, but it was nagging on me that I just couldnt lay it out right.
Would it work with say a window pane tan jacket+gray pants+white/blue solid shirt?

Old Dog....each one of those outfits are BADASS..
