I posted a couple of days about the advisability of a 3 button tuxedo. Thankfully, you all prevailed upon me not to purchase this. The function that I am going to a ball for the American Heart Association, so it is red tie/black tie.

The ensemble I created is a single button black velvet smoking jacket, classic tuxedo pants, black bowtie, tuxedo shirt, and red pocket square. Will this be an appropriate outfit?

I'm not sure about the red pocket square. I think that white would be more appropriate, but since it's for the American Heart Association, a red pocket square would be a nice touch. The outfit sounds good, as long as the fit is spot-on. Any pics?

Sounds like you're on the right track. We'll need pics to judge for sure though.

If I am brave enough, I will post pics. Some items are still in transit/need to be altered.
