Hi everyone, I am getting married in two weeks and have received my MTM Mabro tux which fits like a glove! Now the only thing missing is a pait of cufflinks. The tux is midnight blue with black peak lapels. I would like the cufflinks to be simple and clean black ones. I have also checked out Tateossian but they are a bit expensive for me. Do you guys have any suggestions? Thanks!

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage.

Are you and your wife getting each other gifts? If so, perhaps she could pick out a pair of simple silver cuff links and have your initials monogramed. Without a monogram go with a simple shape like silver balls or knots. Something simple means you can wear them for many years to come and not just for formal occasions.

If you want simple black cuff links, why not black silk knots.

I initially bought his reversible stud set and matching cufflinks. They didn't fit thru the buttonholes on my BB tux shirt - both the studs and the cufflinks were too large. The link between the front and back of the studs also came apart. My wife makes jewelry and was able to reattach them.

I ended up returning them and buying a set from Paul Stuart. Call the NYC store, they have a nice sterling silver or gold w/onyx or w/pearl set, both round and oval.

YMMV.

(I did buy Kent Wang white linen squares as gifts for the men in my wedding).

Good to know. I'm happy to be set straight by those in the know! :)
